The Drakestone

The Drakestone is a 183-unit apartment building at 1309 Main St in Downtown Dallas, Texas. The 20-story tower opened in 1926 as the headquarters of Republic National Bank and was later known as the Davis Building. After a conversion to loft apartments in the early 2000s, it was reworked again as The Drakestone, a residential property of Headington Companies, which lists 2019 as its year of completion. The building is a designated Dallas Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It keeps its rooftop cupola, original terrazzo floors and plasterwork.
