The City of Dallas is divided into 14 City Council districts, each electing one member of the City Council. We did not find a citywide official neighborhood boundary map among the City of Dallas’s public GIS services, so this page uses the 14 Council districts, the official map the City publishes for the whole city, to show where this directory’s neighborhood pages fall. It lists all 14 districts with each one’s size, the directory buildings inside it and the neighborhood pages that list them.
The entries stick to what the City’s own files and this directory’s records show: each district’s number, its size, and the directory buildings and apartments inside it. They describe places, not people, and they do not rank one district or neighborhood against another. Where a district contains buildings in this directory, its entry links straight to the directory’s neighborhood pages that list them.

Which Districts Have Buildings in This Directory
DallasApartmentBuildings.com covers apartment buildings inside the City of Dallas with roughly 50 or more apartments, and organizes them into 15 neighborhood pages. Those pages use the names renters search for, so a single page can span more than one Council district, and a district usually holds several pages. Placing each building’s recorded coordinates inside the City’s district boundaries, this is how they line up:
The directory’s buildings are spread across 11 of the 14 districts; it does not list buildings in District 4, District 5 and District 8 yet. That reflects where Dallas’s large rental buildings in this directory are concentrated, not a judgment about any district. Every building in the directory is listed on the buildings A–Z page.
Our 15 Neighborhood Pages and the City’s Council Districts
The same match read the other way: each of this directory’s neighborhood pages and the Council districts its buildings fall in.
One building on the Park Cities page has recorded coordinates that fall in University Park, according to the City of Dallas’s tax parcel map, rather than inside a Dallas Council district; the page’s other 4 buildings are in District 13.

Sources and Method
District numbers, boundaries and sizes come from the City of Dallas’s Council Boundaries GIS layer, published by the City of Dallas from its 2021 Redistricting Commission’s work, read on October 6, 2026. Adoption and effective dates are from the City’s Dallas City Council Districts map service description, read the same day. Sizes are computed from each boundary’s recorded area in square feet and rounded to a tenth of a square mile. We checked the City’s public GIS service folders and its published ArcGIS services for a citywide neighborhood boundary layer and did not find one; if the City publishes one, we will use it.
Each directory building was placed in a district from the latitude and longitude recorded in this directory, checked against the City’s boundaries; buildings close to a district line were checked one by one against the City’s live layer, and three of those against the district field in the City’s tax parcel layer, which also identified the one building outside the City’s districts as being in University Park. Boundaries and districts can change; check the City of Dallas for current maps.
